What customers say?

“ Really great food and amazing service. There are limited seats but it was nonetheless very cozy and super clean. The ramen soup was very delicious packed with a lot of flavour. The buns and beer were also a great choice. If having the buns one can opt for a half ramen instead of a large full sized one. Staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. There are also take out options. There’s a lavatory and also menu options if you do not want to eat meat, one can opt for bean sports and green onions instead. ”

“ Arashiyama Tenryu Ramen was more of a thicker style tonkotsu ramen with fatty bits of pork floating towards the top, unless that was garlic. I did really enjoy the noodles here, and I thought it was a great option while visiting the different landmarks and temples around the area. The broth was heavier, the pork was fatty, and the noodles were solid. On a cold day, this ramen hit the spot and matched the vibe of the area. ”

“ During my trip with my 4-year-old son, we originally planned to go to a well-known popular restaurant, but there was a long wait. We ended up coming across this less crowded place by chance. The taste was excellent, and although it was my son's first time eating Japanese-style ramen, he enjoyed it very much. The hospitality was, of course, friendly. By the time we were ready to pay, the place was filled with tourists. The price seemed a bit high for ramen, but if waiting in line is difficult, this restaurant is a good choice. ”

“ Small but delicious local ramen restaurant, strongly recommended! They also have limited Kyoto crafted Yuzu alcohol (8%) for 600 yen, worth trying. Regarding on ramen I strongly recommend number 3, 1300 yen and worth every coin. ”

“ English menus, staff know just enough English to help you. The katsu ramen was amazing and the beer was huge and cheap. Even tho it's in tourist area I would recommend this stop ”

- Pierce Munroe -

“ Broth is darker than usual and quite plain. Price is like double of usual generally, considering it’s on a touristy part of Kyoto and serves tourist it’s understandable. Gyoza seems processed and heated on microwave, 6 pieces for 600yen, also expensive. Service was fast. We can finish the ramen. I like the amt of spring onion thou. ”

- Han Ling Lim -

“ Wasn't the best ramen I've had: while I liked the broth, the pork slices were cold and the whole thing just felt assembled from pre-made lukewarm ingredients. Not a great value for the price, but I guess that's what you get in a touristy area. The service was good though, I felt welcome. ”
